We announce with great pleasure that we have just opened a new SOLWAY LOUNGE & GARRISON BISTRO here in Bowness House Farm Leisure complex. Our Leisure complex is located in the middle of Bowness on Solway on a world heritage site which was formerly a Roman fort known as Maia.
Everyone is welcome to relax and enjoy delicious home-made food in our modern, colourful and vibrant place. We try hard to meet expectation of our customers and satisfy everyone’s taste. No matter if you are a Hadrian’s Wall walker passing through, a cyclist in a need of short break, couple in love or a big family who wish to celebrate special occasion, you can be sure we will welcome you with a great pleasure and smile.
Our aim is to make sure everyone is feeling comfortable and happy.
Our bistro offer seating for small groups downstairs as well as seating for larger group of families or friends upstairs. If the weather is nice, we provide also two seating areas outside.
Our Menu options
Our Menu comprise with a range selection of food cooked to order with the best quality ingredients and locally sourced where possible. We can help you to beat your hunger with Hunter’s mixed grill, Sirloin steak or Bloke burger, but we haven’t forgot to include some vegetarian option as Vegetable Curry or Spicy Bean Burger.
You can find our nation’s favourite dish Fish and Chips, All Day Breakfast or Children’s menu too.
All meals are very reasonable and competitively priced.
Bar Area
In our Bar area we offer a selection of speciality draft beer, wines and spirits. Our barista is here for you to prepare a flavourful coffee which is a great companion to our freshly made desserts.
We also have retro arcade machines packed with thousands of old retro arcade games, ideal to keep the kids entertained, while you relax and enjoy your drink or food.
We are here for you to help organize all different special occasions such as Weddings, Birthdays, Christenings, Retirements or Anniversaries, but also for sad occasions such as Funeral Teas. Do not hesitate to get in touch with us and discuss your ideas.
